Ed Shaffer joins ITJ, a leader in providing digital innovation Centers of Excellence, with 25+ years of sales, marketing, consulting, and delivery experience to lead and scale the company’s commercial success. Leveraging his vast network, industry knowledge, and team-building experience, Ed hopes to extend ITJ‘s unique Build, Operate, and Transfer (BOT) model more broadly across the healthcare and life sciences industry and North America. He will also work with the executive leadership team for opportunities to evolve the portfolio to provide advisory services to help our clients identify how and where Large Language Models (LLMs) can be designed, piloted, and deployed to augment and accelerate digital innovation.
Before joining ITJ, Ed was the co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Kaligent – part of the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), developing precision medicine solutions for healthcare and life sciences companies after working at TGen – part of City of Hope, as the VP of Technology Strategy and Innovation, working with the research faculty to identify ways to commercialize novel therapies that could impact care and outcomes.
Ed Shaffer’s broader career includes key roles at Dell Technologies, IBM, and executive roles with emerging companies and start-ups such as Q4BIS and Wellbeingz. Ed earned a BA in Law & Society from University of California, Santa Barbara.
